SIX - Where the G20 cross-border payments roadmap really stands (Jun 2026)

Six years into the G20 roadmap, cross-border payments have gained infrastructure such as ISO 20022, harmonized data, pre-validation and instant rails, but customer benefits remain limited. The article argues progress is partial and market-led rather than regulation-led.
